Description
This spindle blanking kit inserts into the rear lock pins nuts and spindle to keep those normally exposed holes free and clear of junk that can collect in them over time. These segments are designed by R&G to fit your bike perfectly leaving no space for dirt to creep in and damage your machine. Not only does this kit protect your bike it is designed to look great with its seamless fit black finish and subtle white print.

Is there a reason BMW left the hole open? Is there an issue with heat?

Easy install and looks great, but it would be better if instead of a rod threaded at both ends they supplied a long bolt. A problem I had installing the kit is that one locking but turned easier than the other. This made it impossible to make both sides look even.
I suppose one could add a drop of epoxy or other metal cement, add a nut, and let it cure before assembly. I might Dremmel the excess bolt from the odd side to improve the finish. One could also use some black touch up paint and “conceal” the nut/bolt.

Just like how it was advertised, it covered up that nasty hole. High-quality caps and good hardware supplied. Installation took less than 5 min with right tools.
