Description
The SW-MOTECH QUICK-LOCK tank bag system enables a tank bag to be mounted or removed easily without the use of straps or magnets that may damage your motorcycle’s finish. The system includes the tank bag upper tank ring and a separately available tank ring that is designed to be installed onto the motorcycle. Once the system is assembled the tank bag can be snapped securely into place or removed by pulling a release lanyard at the front of the tank bag.

It is a great idea, quality and appereance are good, materials and design look good.
However, in real use, the whole bag along with the ring move too much. It seems clearances are large enough to allow the connector pins to lose contact with their counterpart. I tested this ring during four trips, totalling around 2000 km. My cellphone’s charging chime (through my helmet’s headset) comes on around every one or two seconds, no matter how well I ensure the bag is fully latched or how smooth the highway is.
I currently quit using the electrical part of my bag and settled with using it only as storage because of the ring.

Had one of these on a bike I’m selling and bought a new bike. Decided to add this to the new Super Tenere and transfer the bag. Install was easy. Love being able to easily remove the bag, especially refuel. Certainly not cheap, but over the several years of using, worth not fiddling with straps. Twisted Throttle is great to deal with over the years!
