Attached via either a motorcycle specific or universal fitting kit this small tool box will allow you yes to store tools but consider the possibilities:

- Lockable with included lock & 2 keys (keyed alike available with optional 5 case lock set, sold separately)

What is the space between the holes on the S250 box? I can’t find anything about that anywhere.
I have a rack with a mounting plate, if it matches (or can be made to match) I don’t need a separate mounting kit before I buy.

……not quite big enough, imo. Any long pieces (like a trail jack, tire spoons, etc), might have trouble fitting into the box. If it was 3-4 inches longer it would be perfect. Also….
…….you don’t need to spend the extra $ on the mounting kit. A couple of pieces of drilled flat bar will work just fine.

I bought this to replace a Touratech tool box I was using with my BMW OEM side cases. When I replaced the cases, I knew that I had to replace the tool box as well.
I was a bit suspicious of an external case that’s made out of “plastic”, but this tool box is solidly made. It’s also surprisingly roomy!
Be aware that on some bikes, mounting the box to the case frame may be a tight fit.
