This SW-MOTECH TRAX 38-Liter ADVENTURE ALU-BOX Topcase is the latest in high-caliber protective durable and dependable aluminum luggage. Burly construction and German engineering ensure your luggage stays intact and secure from one destination to the next regardless of your environment. An attractive powder coated black finish allows easier clean up and keeps the TraX ADVENTURE case safe from corrosion. Substantial tie down points carry handles and optional accessories make this a versatile piece of luggage and the ideal choice for your next endeavor.
Attach TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX top cases to your SW-MOTECH GIVI or other brands of top racks using specific adapters. These adapters are available on the product pages for those bike-specific racks.
TRAX ADVENTURE boxes do not come with lock cylinders installed. Instead matched lock cylinder and key sets are sold separately for 1 case (top or side) or 3 cases (1 topcase and 2 sidecases).
Important Note: Don’t lubricate the lock cylinders with oil. This will combine with dust and sand and wear on the inside of the cylinder and can eventually destroy the lock. Use graphite powder to lubricate locks.

I have had this for about a year at this point and still love the quality. It has held up very well and still remains water tight. My only wish is that it was just a slight bit larger.

I installed this case on my 2013 Suzuki VStrom 650. It is very well made and holds my XXXL full-face HJC helmet, which was a nice surprise. There are cheaper alternatives out there, but I have found SW-MOTECH products to be well engineered and practically bullet-proof. Make sure you have all of the attaching plates required. For my bike I need the aluminum plate to attach to the bike, as well as the quick disconnect plate. Unfortunately, in my email discussions with customer service, it never came up that I need the aluminum plate, and that the quick release adaptor would not work with the stock Suzuki mounting plate. The aluminum plate was out of stock in the US, so I finally found one in Austria of all places, and purchased from this source, causing about a 2 week delay in my installation of the case. I haven’t had it in the rain yet, but assuming that it doesn’t leak, I am giving it a 5 star rating all the way.
I also purchased the cargo net for the lid and the passenger backrest. The cargo net is an easy installation and helps organize smaller items and gets them out of the bottom of the box. The passenger backrest works great and looks good, but it was a bit more to install it than I realized. I thought that the pads would be self-sticking, but instead, you had to drill five holes in the brand new case!

I recently added this case to my Super Tenere. It doesn’t “look” too big, but I was sure surprised when I got to work and discovered that my xxl Shoei Neotec fits in there with no trouble!! Neither the yamaha luggage on my previous Tenere or the BMW luggage I had on my old R1200GSA could offer me that.
Installation was easy, I also purchased the SW Motech mount and rack.
Everything was packaged well and came with all parts. All in all, I am very happy with this case!
