The GIVI DLM30A Trekker Dolomiti is a 30L box that can be used as either a top or side case. GIVI fabricates this case using hybrid die stamped aluminum and secures all the pieces using stainless steel rivets. Left with the natural aluminum finish this box is rugged waterproof and perfect for the adventure motorcycle rider. The rounded shape is not just a style choice; smoother surfaces and angles can significantly improve the safety of the rider and anybody around them. This piece of luggage can be used as a top or side case. To use the DLM30A as a top case; you will need to purchase one of the GIVI FZ series GIVI SR series or other compatible top rack and a corresponding GIVI Monokey adapter plate. If this box is used a side case you will require a GIVI PL GIVI PLR or other suitable side racks.

The DLM30A has four nylon belt strap loops on the lid that allow the attachment of additional bags with some GIVI Trekker straps. Inside the lid you will find hooks that will secure a cargo net to provide organization for smaller items. The 30-liter volume is ready to keep a 15-inch computer bag or other rider essentials dry and safe.

    It’s great as a top box. Will carry anything I want for everyday use. Looks industrial and I like that. Get the lid net—handy. If you’re going to use it as a side case, get the inner bag made for it to keep your stuff from falling out when you open it. It’s a lot more convenient and you can just pop the bag out when you get where you’re going.

    Separate keys?

    The two saddlebags don’t share the same key – an inconvenience carrying three keys for two saddlebags and a top case. Not sure why – the Givi bags on my other bike use one key. The other inconvenience is the lack of a carrying handle.

    Perfect Commuter

    After nearly a year of use commuting to work and a week long road trip The quality of this case really shines through. Switched from a 38 L Trax aluminum top case to the Givi primarily to accommodate a larger laptop but its sleek low profile design fit well with the lines of my 2012 Suzuki DL650A. Easily fits laptop, jacket and pant rain liners, clear face shield, and a light fleece jacket. The silver color contrasts nicely with my black bike and panniers for added visibility and safety. A huge step up in quality of lock from the SW Motech and the metal thickness and hinge construction suggest a perfect compromise between strength and weight. Buying another for my son’s FJ 09.

    I am using this box between my F650 GS and my 650 Dakar. For me, small is best. It’s the perfect size for my camera gear. Nicely made and switches between the bikes easily.

    Been using this as a top case for a month and find it to be the perfect size. I ride without the side cases (FJR) unless going for a longer trip and this top case has ample room for everything I need for day trips. Very well made, light and the ability to double as a side case (with givi mounts) make this a great choice.
